Home this shall be, or at least a home. My name is Blaine Hoffman, and welcome to the small collection of markup language, style sheets, and appropriately arranged pixels of varying hue that make up my academic website. Yes, I command these 1s and 0s, and I invite you to explore them in more depth.

I am a PhD candidate in The College of Information Sciences and Technology here at The Pennsylvania State University. Theoretically, I appropriately juggle my time among research and hobbies to pursue a doctor of philosophy degree and enrich my understanding of the world I live in and how I might make worthwhile contributions to it and its communities. I am currently at the phase of the game wherein I develop and ultimately defend a dissertation research proposal, allowing me to test my mettle as a researcher and really contribute to the overall IT community.
