Research Overview

I am in my final year of my Ph.D. I am looking for full time jobs in product management and user experience research. I am co-advised by Drs. Mary Beth Rosson and John M. Carroll.

I am broadly interested in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) and Social Computing. Specifically, I am interested in empirically investigating social needs that may be addressed through computing applications. After identifying these opportunities, I design and develop technological interventions, evaluating them using a balance of qualitative and quantitative methods. Most recently, I have designed a mobile devise based public commenting system - ClassCommons - for supporting in class communication.

I have done internships at Google as a User Experience Researcher, at VIBE group at Microsoft Research and at Palo Alto Research Center.

You can know more about the projects I have worked on in the projects section.
